The complainant has requested information relating to the Government’s application to the European Commission to extend the rural fuel duty rebate scheme to the UK mainland. The Commissioner’s decision is that on the balance of probabilities, the public authority did not hold any information within the scope of item 7 of the request, and that the public authority was entitled to withhold the information held within the scope of item 6 of the request on the basis of the exemption at section 35(1)(a) FOIA. No steps required.
