The complainant has requested information about its television news bulletins. The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) said that this information is covered by the derogation and is exempt from the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the BBC holds the requested information for the purpose of journalism. It is therefore covered by the derogation and exempt from the FOIA. The Commissioner does not require the public authority to take any further steps.
