Department for Work and Pensions

The complainant has requested information regarding contact details for managers involved in the complaints process. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) disclosed some of the information and withheld the remainder under section 36 of the Act. The Commissioner’s decision is that, in the specific circumstances of this case, section 36 is engaged and the balance of the public interest lies in maintaining the exemption. The Commissioner does, however, find that DWP has breached section 10 by not providing the disclosed information within the statutory timeframe. No steps are required.

FOI 10: Complaint upheld FOI 36: Complaint not upheld
