Home Office

The complainant requested a Policy Equality Statement. The Home Office refused to provide the requested information, citing section 22 (information intended for future publication) of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Home Office incorrectly applied section 22 to withhold the requested information. The Commissioner requires the Home Office to take the following step to ensure compliance with the legislation: disclose the withheld information to the complainant.

FOI 22: Complaint upheld

Decision notice: fs50898337
