Judicial Appointments Commission

The complainant requested information relating to Designated Circuit Judge and deputy High Court Judge appointments. The Commissioner has considered the Judicial Appointments Commission’s refusal to disclose the numerical information within the scope of parts (1) and (2) of the request. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Judicial Appointments Commission was entitled to withhold the information by virtue of section 40(2) (personal information) of FOIA. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken as a result of this decision.
