Department for Transport

The complainant requested from the Department for Transport information relating to train operating companies’ retail costs for selling tickets. The DfT withheld the requested information under section 44 of FOIA (prohibitions on disclosure). The Commissioner’s decision is that the DfT was entitled to withhold the requested information under section 44. The Commissioner does not require the DfT to take any steps.
