East Suffolk Council

The complainant requested information about non-domestic business rates. East Suffolk Council (the “council”) refused the request, citing the exemptions for law enforcement (section 31) and information provided in confidence (section 41). The Commissioner’s decision is that is that the council was correct to apply section 41(1) to withhold the information from disclosure. He has not therefore found it necessary to consider the application of section 43(2).
