Financial Conduct Authority

The complainant has requested information about ongoing investigations. The above public authority provided some information, stated that some information was not held, relied on section 31 of FOIA (law enforcement) to withhold some information and relied on section 12 of FOIA (costs) to refuse part of the request. The Commissioner’s decision is that the public authority was entitled to rely on section 31 of FOIA and that the balance of the public interest favours maintaining the exemption.
