Summary
The application is concerned with amending a journey in an online transportation system. Specifically, the application allows a user to amend the origin or the destination of their journey which is communicated to the service provider with an updated route for the journey.
The Hearing Officer applied the Aerotel/Macrossan test and considered the signposts laid out in HTC v Apple and decided the contribution was excluded as a computer program. The application was refused under section 18(3).
