The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 30(6) of the Land Drainage Act 1961 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following regulations:-

Citation, Commencement and Interpretation

1.-(1) These regulations may be cited as the Drainage Schemes (Notices) Regulations 1965 and shall come into operation on the 1st April 1965.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These regulation which come into operation on the 1st April 1965 prescribe the manner in which notice is to be given to owners and occupiers and other affected persons by any authority which proposes to make a scheme under section 30 of the Land Drainage Act 1961 for the improvement of and in their area by drainage works.

The revocation of the previous regulations is necessary because they referred to provisions contained in the River Boards Act 1948 which was repealed by the Water Resources Act 1963.
