MAINTENANCE OF DEPENDANTS

19th March 1974
In pursuance of section 49(2) of the Maintenance Orders (Reciprocal Enforcement) Act 1972, I hereby make the following Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Maintenance Orders (Reciprocal Enforcement) Act 1972 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1974.
2. The following provisions of the Maintenance Orders (Reciprocal Enforcement) Act 1972 shall come into operation on 1st April 1974, that is to say:-
(a)Part I, except section 22(2);
(b)Part III; and
(c)the Schedule.

This Order brings into operation on 1st April 1974 Parts I and III of and the Schedule to the Maintenance Orders (Reciprocal Enforcement) Act 1972 with the exception of section 22(2); that subsection provides for the repeal of the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Act 1920 (c.33) and associated enactments.
