The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(5) of the Superannuation Act 1972 and now vested in them(1), hereby make the following Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (National Audit Office) Order 1983 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1984.
2. Employment as a member of the staff of the National Audit Office is hereby added to the employments listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972.

The National Audit Act 1983 (c.44) sets up the National Audit Office on 1st January 1984. This Order adds employment in that office to the employments listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972, and thereby brings persons in such employment within the principal civil service pension scheme made under section 1 of the 1972 Act.
By virtue of Article 2(1)(c) of the Transfer of Functions (Minister for the Civil Service and Treasury) Order 1981 (S.I. 1981/1670).
