The A106 Trunk Road (Church Lane, Waltham Forest) (Restriction of Use of Gap in Central Reservation) Order 1988

Coming into force

3rd October 1988

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(1), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Secretary of State for the Home Department, hereby makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the A106 Trunk Road (Church Lane, Waltham Forest) (Restriction of Use of Gap in Central Reservation) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 3rd October 1988.

2. In this Order -

"Church Lane"means that length of the Hackney-M11 Link Road Trunk Road in the London Borough of Waltham Forest known as Church Lane; and

"central reservation"means that part of Church Lane which separates the two carriageways of Church Lane for the safety or guidance of vehicles using that road.

3. Save as provided in article 4 below, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle proceeding in Church Lane to enter or proceed through the gap in the central reservation which lies opposite Dyers Hall Road.

4. Nothing in article 3 above shall apply:

(a)if the vehicle is being used for fire brigade, police or ambulance purposes; and

(b)to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a traffic warden.
