The (A1237) York Outer Ring Road (Northern) (Trunking) Order 1988

3rd June 1988

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980(1), and now vested in him(2), and of all other enabling powers:

1. The length of highway described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by striped hatching on the deposited plan shall become a trunk road as from the date on which this Order comes into force.

2. In this Order-

"the deposited plan"means the plan contained in the plan folio numbered HA 10/YHRO 15 marked "The (A1237) York Outer Ring Road (Northern) (Trunking) Order 1988", signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY.

3. This Order shall come into force on 3rd June 1988 and may be cited as the (A1237) York Outer Ring Road (Northern) (Trunking) Order 1988.

SCHEDULEEXISTING HIGHWAY TO BECOME A TRUNK ROAD

The length of road to become a trunk road is the highway known as the (A1237) York Outer Ring Road from its junction with the A19 (Shipton Road) (marked "A" on the deposited plan) for a distance of 7.64 kilometres (measured along that length of road) to its junction with the A64 trunk road at Hopgrove (marked "B" on the deposited plan).
