The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 67(3) of the Local Government Act 1985 (1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:-
1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the London Government Reorganisation (Pensions etc.) (Amendment) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 8th March 1990.
(2) In this Order "the 1989 Order" means the London Government Reorganisation (Pensions etc.) Order 1989 (2).
2. Schedule 1 to the 1989 Order (London Pensions Fund Authority) is amended as follows:-
(a)paragraph 5(b) shall be omitted;
(b)the following paragraph shall be inserted after paragraph 8-
"9. Section 73 of the 1985 Act shall apply as if the Authority were a new authority."
3. In Part II of Schedule 2 to the Pensions (Increase) Act 1971 (3), the paragraph numbered "64C" which was inserted by article 7(6) of the 1989 Order shall be re-numbered "64D".

This Order amends the London Government Reorganisation (Pensions etc.) Order 1989 so as to apply to the London Pensions Fund Authority the provisions of section 73 of the Local Government Act 1985 and to disapply the provisions of section 151 of the Local Government Act 1972 (c. 70.). Both sections are concerned with responsibility for financial administration.
