CLERK OF THE CROWN IN CHANCERY

Coming into force
17th December 1990
The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 9 of the Great Seal (Offices) Act 1874(1), and with the concurrence of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Crown Office Fees Order 1990 and shall come into force on 17th December 1990.
2. The following fees shall be taken in the Office of the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery-
(1) Letters Patent under the Great Seal- | |
Heralds | £60 |
Queen's Counsel (England and Wales) | £380 |
Charter of Incorporation or Supplemental Charter (England and Wales) | £350 |
Grant of Title of City | £800 |
Grant of Title of Lord Mayor | £800; |
(2) On filing a Memorial for appointment as a Welsh District Notary | £100; |
(3) Writ of Summons on the Determination of an abeyance of a Barony | £350. |
3. The Crown Office Fees Order 1987(2) is hereby revoked.

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order replaces the existing Fees Order with a new Order which increases the fees for Letters Patent under the Great Seal, as follows-
(a)for Heralds, from £50 to £60;
(b)for Queen's Counsel, from £350 to £380;
(c)for a Grant of Title of City, from £350 to £800;
(d)for a Grant of Title of Lord Mayor, from £350 to £800.
The other fees are unchanged.
