9th October 1995
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 35 of the Antarctic Act 1994(1), and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Antarctic Act 1994 (Commencement) Order 1995.
2. The following provisions of the Antarctic Act 1994 shall come into force on 1st November 1995-
Sections 1 and 2
Sections 8 to 32
Section 33, except in respect of the repeal of Sections 6, 7(2)(b) and (7), 8, 9, 10 and 11 of the Antarctic Treaty Act 1967(2).
Sections 34 to 36.

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force on 1st November 1995 the following provisions of the Antarctic Act 1994:
Sections 1, 2, 8 to 32, 33 (except for the repeal of certain provisions of the Antarctic Treaty Act 1967 in connection with specially protected areas) and 34 to 36.
