The Secretary of State for Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 59, 65, 74, 77(4), 79(4) and 193 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990(1), section 26(3) of the Welsh Language Act 1993(2), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order-
1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Town and Country Planning (General Development Procedure) (Welsh Forms) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 14th February 1996.
(2) This Order applies only in respect of land in Wales.
(3) In this Order-
"the Act"means the Town and Country Planning Act 1990;
"the principal Order"means the Town and Country Planning (General Development Procedure) Order 1995(3);
"land"has the meaning it has in the Act.
2.-(1) The form set out in Part 1 of Schedule 1 of this Order is hereby prescribed as the version in Welsh which may be used instead of the form set out in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the principal Order (letter to be sent by a local planning authority when they receive an application for planning permission or for a certificate of lawful use or development).
(2) The form set out in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to this Order is hereby prescribed as the version in Welsh which may be used instead of the form set out in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the principal Order (notification to be sent to an applicant when a local planning authority refuse planning permission or grant it subject to conditions).
(3) The forms set out in Part 1 of Schedule 2 to this Order are hereby prescribed as the versions in Welsh which may be used respectively instead of the forms set out in Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the principal Order (notices of an application or appeal for planning permission to be published or served on an owner or tenant).
(4) The forms set out in Part 2 of Schedule 2 to this Order are hereby prescribed as the versions in Welsh which may be used respectively instead of the forms set out in Part 2 of Schedule 2 to the principal Order (certificates for use with applications or appeals for planning permission relating to ownership of land and notice to be given to an agricultural tenant).
(5) The forms set out in Schedule 3 to this Order are hereby prescribed as the versions in Welsh which may be used respectively instead of the forms set out in Schedule 3 to the principal Order (notices issued by the local planning authority to publicise applications for planning permission).
(6) The form set out in Schedule 4 to this Order is hereby prescribed as the version in Welsh which may be used instead of the form set out in Schedule 4 to the principal Order (certificate of lawful use or development).
(7) Forms substantially to the like effect to the forms set out in Schedules 1 to 4 to this Order may be used.

This Order prescribes Welsh versions of the forms prescribed by Schedules 1 to 4 to the Town and Country Planning (General Development Procedure) Order 1995 which may be used in respect of land in Wales. The forms are-
(a)letter to be sent by a local planning authority to the applicant on receipt of an application for planning permission or certificate of lawful use or development (Part 1 of Schedule 1)
(b)notification to be sent to an applicant when a local planning authority refuse planning permission or grant it subject to conditions (Part 2 of Schedule 1)
(c)notices of an application or appeal for planning permission to be published by an applicant in a newspaper or served on an owner or tenant (Part 1 of Schedule 2)
(d)certificates for use with applications and appeals for planning permission relating to ownership of land and notice to be given to an agricultural tenant (Part 2 of Schedule 2)
(e)notices issued by the local planning authority to publicise applications for planning permission (Schedule 3)
(f)certificate of lawful use of development (Schedule 4)
1990 c. 8; section 65 was substituted by section 16 of the Planning and Compensation Act 1991 (c. 34); sections 74(2), 77(4) and 79(4) were amended by paragraphs 17, 18 and 19 of Schedule 7 to the 1991 Act respectively; section 193 was substituted by section 10(1) of the 1991 Act.
