1. This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (Application of the Superannuation Act 1972, Section 1) (No.2) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st September 1999.
2. Employment by the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body is added to the employments listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972.

Section 1 of the Superannuation Act 1972 (under which the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme, the Civil Service Additional Voluntary Contribution Scheme and the Civil Service Compensation Scheme have been made) applies to employments and offices listed in Schedule 1 to that Act.
This Order adds employment by the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body to those listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972. The Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body was established by section 21 of the Scotland Act 1998 (c. 46). The corporation provides staff for the Scottish Parliament. Its powers to appoint staff and to pay pensions are in Schedule 2 to the Scotland Act 1998.
1976 c. 11. The power under section 1(5) is subject to section 1(6), which has been amended by section 125(1) of, and paragraph 14 of Schedule 8 to, the Scotland Act 1998 (c. 46).
