The Education (Funding for Teacher Training) Designation (No. 3) Order 2003

  Laid before Parliament 19th December 2003 
  Coming into force 9th January 2004 

The Secretary of State for Education and Skills, in exercise of the powers conferred upon the Secretary of State by section 4(2) of the Education Act 1994[1] hereby makes the following Order:

     1. This Order may be cited as the Education (Funding for Teacher Training) Designation (No.3) Order 2003 and shall come into force on 9th January 2004.

    
2. LMTD Limited, a private company limited by shares having the registration number 4882177, is hereby designated as a body eligible for funding under Part I of the Education Act 1994.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)


This Order is made under section 4(2) of the Education Act 1994. It designates LMTD Limited, a private company limited by shares and having the registration number 4882177, as a body eligible for funding under Part I of the Education Act 1994.

As a result of the Order, the Teacher Training Agency may make grants, loans, or other payments in respect of expenditure incurred or to be incurred by the designated body for the purposes of teacher training and the provision of facilities, and the carrying on of other activities, which the body considers it necessary or desirable to provide or carry on for the purpose of or in connection with the provision of teacher training.
