The Animal Welfare Act 2006 (Commencement No. 1) (England) Order 2007

  Made 22nd February 2007 

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred by section 68(3)(a) and (4) of the Animal Welfare Act 2006[1], makes the following Order:

Citation, application and interpretation
     1. —(1) This Order—

    (2) In this Order, "the 2006 Act" means the Animal Welfare Act 2006.

Commencement of provisions
    
2. —(1) The following provisions of the 2006 Act come into force on 23rd March 2007, for the purpose of making regulations under them—

    (2) The following provisions of the 2006 Act come into force on 6th April 2007—

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order brings into force the provisions of the Animal Welfare Act 2006 specified in article 2(1) on 23rd March 2007. The provisions specified in article 2(2) come into force on 6th April 2007.
