EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Gambling (Operating Licence and Single-Machine Permit Fees) Regulations 2006 S.I. 2006/3284 ("the 2006 Regulations").

The 2006 Regulations prescribe fees relating to operating licences (application, annual and other fees) and single-machine supply and maintenance permits (application fees only) issued under Parts 5 and 10 of the Gambling Act 2005 respectively.

Regulations 3 and 4 substitute tables in Schedules 1 and 4 for the tables in Schedules 1 and 4 of the 2006 Regulations. The purpose of these amendments is to ensure that there is no overlap between certain fee categories.
