The Care Standards Act 2000 (Commencement No.6) (Wales) Order 2001

  Made 10th July 2001 

The National Assembly for Wales makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 122 of the Care Standards Act 2000 [1]:

Citation and interpretation
     1.  - (1) This Order may be cited as the Care Standards Act 2000 (Commencement No.6) (Wales) Order 2001.

    (2) In this Order "the Act" ("y Ddeddf") means the Care Standards Act 2000.

Appointed days
    
2.  - (1) The provisions of the Act specified in paragraph (3) of this article shall come into force in relation to Wales on 31st July 2001.

    (2) The provisions of the Act specified in paragraph (4) of this article shall come into force in relation to Wales on 1st October 2001.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order appoints days for certain provisions of Part IV (social care workers) of the Care Standards Act 2000 ('the Act') to come into force. The provisions brought into force by this Order concern the training of social care workers in Wales.

31st July 2001 is the day appointed for the following provisions of the Act to come into force:

The provisions of the Care Standards Act 2000 ('the Act') in respect of which an entry is made in the Table below have been brought into force in relation to Wales on the date specified alongside their entry.
