The Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the power conferred by section 57(3)(c) of the Agriculture Act 2020( 1), make the following Regulations:
1. The title of these Regulations is the Agriculture Act 2020 (Commencement No. 2) (Wales) Regulations 2022.
2. The following provisions of the Agriculture Act 2020 come into force on 13 December 2022—
(a) Part 4 of Schedule 7 (The CMO Regulation: consequential amendments), and
(b) section 52 (consequential amendments), so far as relating to that Part.

These Regulations are made by the Welsh Ministers and bring into force provisions of the Agriculture Act 2020 (c. 21)(“ the Act”).
Regulation 2(a) brings into force, on 13 December 2022, Part 4 of Schedule 7 to the Act. Regulation 2(b) brings into force, on 13 December 2022, section 52 of the Act so far as relating to that Part.
As a consequence of the provision in Part 4 of Schedule 5 to the Act, Part 4 of Schedule 7 to the Act makes consequential amendments in Wales in relation to marketing standards and carcass classification provisions in Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 December 2013 establishing a common organisation of the markets in agricultural products (“ the CMO Regulation”).

The following provisions of the Act have been brought into force by Commencement Regulations made before the date of these Regulations:
