I, Liam Aylward, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 and 54 of No. 6 of 1966 ) and the Agriculture and Food (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 409 of 2002 ) (as adapted by the Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 306 of 2002 )), hereby orders as follows:- 1. This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Section 54) (Exemption) Order 2002. 2. S.I. No. 217 of 1967 ) is amended, in Article 4, by the insertion after paragraph (b) of -- |

“(bb) an animal that is being sold, with the written consent of an inspector, to alleviate a serious welfare problem in a herd,” |
