I, MICHEÁL MARTIN, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 17 of the Redundancy Payments Act 2003 ( No. 14 of 2003 ), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Redundancy Payments Act 2003 (Commencement) Order 2005. 2. In this Order, “Act” means the Redundancy Payments Act 2003 (No. 14 of 2003). 3. (1) The 10th day of April, 2005 is appointed as the day on which sections 7, 11 and 12 of the Act come into operation. |

(2) For the avoidance of doubt, sections 7, 11 and 12 of the Act apply only to those employees who are declared redundant on or after the 10th day of April, 2005. |
