I, MICHAEL McDOWELL, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 57A (as inserted by section 23 of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001 (No. 50 of 2001)) of the Criminal Justice Act 1994 (No. 15 of 1994) (as adapted by the Justice (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 1997 ( S.I. No. 298 of 1997 )) and following consultation with the Minister for Finance, order as follows: 1. This order may be cited as the Criminal Justice Act 1994 (Section 57A) (Revocation) Order 2005. 2. This order shall come into operation on the 4th day of April 2005. 3. The Criminal Justice Act 1994 (Section 57A) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 101 of 2002 ) and the Criminal Justice Act 1994 (Section 57A) Order 2004 ( S.I. No. 52 of 2004 ) are revoked. |

This Regulation revokes Orders which designated Nauru and the Union of Myanmar as states that did not have in place adequate procedures for the detection of money laundering pursuant to Section 57A of Section 23 of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001 ). |
