TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

The Employment Relations Act 1999 (Commencement No. 8) (Amendment) Order 2001

  Made 11th April 2001 

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 45(1) of the Employment Relations Act 1999[1], hereby makes the following Order:

     1. This Order may be cited as the Employment Relations Act 1999 (Commencement No. 8) (Amendment) Order 2001.

Amendment of the Employment Relations Act 1999 (Commencement No. 8) Order 2001
     2.  - (1) The Employment Relations Act 1999 (Commencement No. 8) Order 2001[2] shall be amended as follows.

    (2) In article 3, and in the heading of the Schedule, for the words "18th April 2001" substitute the words "16th July 2001".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order amends the Employment Relations Act 1999 (Commencement No. 8) Order 2001 (S.I. 2001/1187 (c. 38)) by changing the coming into force date of the provisions referred to in that Order from 18th April 2001 to 16th July 2001. The provisions concerned are section 41 of, and Schedule 8 to, the Employment Relations Act 1999 (c. 26), which make provision for cases before employment tribunals and the Employment Appeal Tribunal concerning issues of national security.
