In response to requests from readers, files are now offered for downloading in rich text format (rtf), in either uncompressed or compressed (zip) format. If you choose a zip file you will need to de-compress it. PC users will find WinZip effective and convenient. MAC users can obtain freeware such as StuffitExpander - from usual sources (eg Imperial College Info-Mac archive).
